Message from the President
Dear friends,
Greetings!
The establishment of the Myagdi Overseas Nepalese Association (MONA) marked a significant step towards uniting and connecting the Nepali Diaspora globally during its inaugural conference. Over the years, MONA has evolved into a non-governmental organization, fostering a network of individuals of Nepali origin across 26 countries. This network serves to advocate for their interests, address their concerns, and uphold their commitments. While we celebrate the achievements of our nation and its people, we are also deeply saddened by their hardships and setbacks.
Our core belief, “Hamromyagdi Ramromyagdi,” underscores our dedication to channeling our efforts and resources towards societal transformation in Nepal. It is the responsibility of every nation to prioritize the promotion, representation, and protection of its citizens, including those residing abroad or holding foreign nationality. This aligns with our conviction that such endeavors are ultimately beneficial for the nation as a whole. The potential contribution of the Diaspora community towards national interests is widely recognized on the international stage.
Dadiwal Khadka
President
